Joe’s journey is a story of redemption and transformation.
Following years of “real life” experiences, Joe founded Get Life Coaching in 1999. His perseverance to survive a near-death overdose beat drug addiction, and a lifetime of personal struggles have given him the skills and energy to help over a million people change their lives for the better.
The story of how Joe White came into life coaching more resembles a VH1 Behind the Music episode than a traditional story. After dropping out of college, Joe left the Philadelphia area to pursue his dreams of becoming a model. He took a job as a VIP concierge in a New York City nightclub in the early ’90s to supplement his modeling income but encountered severe alcohol and cocaine addiction. Joe’s battle with addiction eventually cost him his success and nearly killed him with a near-fatal overdose.
In the act of desperation to change his life, he purchased a set of Tony Robbins self-help cassette tapes and studied them relentlessly. He attended seminar after seminar and read books upon books.
It was here when Joe had his first exposure to the power of firewalking, which forever changed his life. He was blown away by the level of transformation that walking on hot coals delivers; little did he know then that decades later, the same company that Tony Robbins trained at, he would be the owner and President.
Within a few short years, Joe had not only turned his life around but was being courted by The Tony Robbins Organization to join his coaching team. Being a perennial entrepreneur and was already developing a new methodology of coaching, Joe decided to go out on his own and, thus, Get Life Coaching was born.
Joe built his company on a reputation of being able to help those who seemed “unhelpable.”
In 2011, Joe was looking for new ways to create rapid and lasting change in individuals. A close friend, Tony Witter, told him about this amazing program that he just got back from called Firewalk Instructor Training or FIT. It was conducted by the Firewalking Institute of Research and Education, who also trained the likes of Tony Robbins, Dr. Weil, and T. Harv Eker. Joe enrolled the very next day.
He immediately added firewalking and other physical elements to his seminars and created even more significant breakthroughs for his clients. Joe continued his training with the Firewalking Institute of Research and Education and became an Executive Firewalk Instructor, and then 12 months later, he became a Master Firewalk Instructor. Joe has conducted events for Google, Heineken, G.E., Qorvo, Sysco, It Works, Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshapings, and YPO Pan Asia. Today, Joe is considered one of the world’s top Firewalk Instructors, trainers, and coaches.
As more businesses sought out Joe’s training, there were more requests to help train businesses’ sales teams. Joe became a featured speaker for the Small Business Expo, traveling to 16 cities a year. Joe’s ability to bring his unique coaching methodology into the sales process produced huge revenue increases for his clients.
In 2019, Joe was presented with a unique opportunity to acquire one of his greatest passions, Firewalking Institute of Research and Education. Partnering with Spain’s top Master Instructor, Enrique Jurado Fernández, they began to lay the foundation to lead the Firewalking Institute of Research and Education into the new decade.
At the end of 2021, Joe acquired the remainder of the Firewalking Institute of Research and Education and is President of F.I.R. E.
Joe is celebrating his 23rd year in the personal education and transformation field. Through his companies, the Firewalking Institute of Research and Education and Get Life Coaching, Joe has personally coached and trained more than a million individuals from around the world, and he is excited for what lies ahead and the millions of more lives that will be impacted.
